Vehicle-based searching: Customers can search for vehicles by make, model, and year to identify potential donor cars.
Cross-compatibility guidance: Similar to other salvage yards, Pull N Save likely uses parts interchange databases to identify compatible components across different models.

This approach helps customers save time by identifying the most likely vehicles to have parts compatible with their specific needs.

Common Questions About Pull N Save North
1. What services does Pull N Save North offer?
Pull N Save North operates as a self-service automotive salvage yard where customers extract parts themselves using their own tools. Unlike traditional junkyards, they do not provide part removal services or inventory management. The facility hosts a diverse inventory of vehicles, including newer and older models, from which buyers can salvage engines, transmissions, airbags, electronics, and more.
2. How do customers operate within the junkyard?
Visitors must bring their own tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, pry bars) and physically remove parts from vehicles. Staff assistance is limited to guiding customers to correct car locations based on make/model requests. Prior to entry, buyers typically:
– Search online inventory (if available) for specific vehicles
– Plan a part removal strategy using the yard’s mapped layout
– Negotiate core charges for returnable components like engines
3. How are parts priced?
Pricing follows a fixed, transparent structure based on part type and condition. Key pricing aspects include:
– As-is pricing: All parts are sold without quality guarantees, though optional warranties can be purchased at $1/day (e.g., a 30-day warranty costs $30)
– Core charges: Deposits applied to rebuilt/refurbished parts (e.g., engines, starters), refundable upon returning a defective “core” part within 30 days
– No negotiated discounts due to the self-service model
4. Can customers request specific vehicles?
While Pull N Save North does not guarantee specific vehicles, buyers can search their web-based inventory for models matching their needs. For example, a Toyota Camry owner could filter the online database to locate relevant vehicles for parts. However, the website may be temporarily unavailable, so phone inquiries or in-person visits may be necessary to confirm stock.
5. What tools/equipment should visitors bring?
A self-service environment demands personal tools for disassembly. Recommended items include:
– Basic hand tools: Socket sets, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches
– Lifting equipment: Jacks or jacks stands for safe undercarriage access
– Protective gear: Safety glasses and gloves to handle sharp edges or debris
6. How does the return policy work?
All sales are final and non-returnable except for warranty purchases. If a buyer opts for a warranty:
– Defective parts can be exchanged for equivalent or better components
– No cash refunds — exchanges or warranty extensions ($1/day) are the only remedies
7. What sets Pull N Save North apart from other junkyards?
Key differentiators include:
– Scale: A 4.6/5 rating from over 2,400 reviews highlights consistent satisfaction with part availability and staff helpfulness
– Core refunds: Uncommon generosity with core charge returns, encouraging ecological recycling of older parts
– Modern inventory: Inclusion of recent vehicle models caters to owners of late-model cars
For context, the Phoenix location at 320 S 27th Ave is praised for affordability and teamwork opportunities among DIYers and professionals alike.
Conclusion
Pull N Save North in Phoenix stands as one of the city’s most comprehensive self-service auto salvage yards. With extended hours seven days a week, a vast inventory of over 6,500 vehicles, and a straightforward self-service model, it offers a valuable resource for car owners looking to save money on repairs while getting genuine OEM parts.
Whether you’re hunting for a simple replacement part like used side mirrors from the junkyard or major components like engines and transmissions, Pull N Save North provides an affordable alternative to dealership prices. I went here with a friend who had been struggling finding a part and was so happy that I went with him. It was like watching a little kid and hid very first Christmas, he was so happy n excited about finding what he'd been looking for. It was awesome! Thank you guys for simple little things that are actually huge to some of us.

I like this place because for one, I'm able to take a break from the world and find that time alone. Finding the parts I need at a reasonable price, is like putting a feather in my cap.
The Staff are friendly and helpful, even crack a joke if you like. Only thing that keeps me from awarding them five (5) stars is discarded parts everywhere, and without a doubt it's the customers.
