Honestly, I was way over my head when I showed up with my dad’s old scrap metal—hadn’t been to a place like this before, and I was hauling it in a trailer I hadn’t touched in 15 years plus a rental truck. Steve must’ve seen the panic on my face because he walked me through the whole thing without making me feel stupid. Not sure I’d have gotten through it without him. Still grateful for that. ---

Every time I’ve dealt with them, it’s been smooth. They say what they mean, don’t overcomplicate things, and actually make the process easy. Not a lot of places can pull that off. ---

Brought in a huge pile of cans for recycling, and I’m *done* with Cohen. The workers acted like I was wasting their time, and there’s no way to verify the weight—just some conveyor scale they claim is accurate. I *know* I had over 180 pounds, but the ticket said 84. Once they’ve got your stuff, you’re screwed. If any lawyers are reading this, I’d love to help expose how they’re ripping people off in Lexington. This place is a joke. ---

Still pissed off about this. Second time now where they’ve weighed my loaded vehicle, given me the thumbs-up, let me unload, then acted like they never got the first weight. My tiny pickup had a fraction of the metal in the van’s massive cargo bed—I *know* I had over 1,300 pounds in there, but they paid me $12 for the whole load. The pickup, which was barely over 200 pounds, got $13. I wasn’t guessing weights; I was waiting for *them* to tell me when to move. Two times now they’ve screwed me over like this. Disgusting.

Dropped off an old steel desk and some mixed lead at Cohen on Old Frankfort Pike and walked away with $20—easiest money I’ve made in a while. First time there, and one of the scales was down, so I accidentally missed the second one. The guy who checked me in, Jeremy (goes by Stumpy), was a total sport—sent me back to the right scale and even let me cut in line when I came back. Wait was a little longer than usual because of the broken scale, but otherwise, it was a good time. Might bring my boys by sometime to show them how scrap metal gets recycled. Pretty neat to see. ---
