Novellas Scrap Yard at 5 Thorpe St, Danbury, CT 06810

First time dealing with a scrapyard and it went way smoother than I expected. Gave them a call beforehand just to check if they’d take what I had, and they said yes—no hassle. The guys working there were actually nice, not the grumpy type you’d picture. Dropped off my stuff in five minutes, no waiting around. Oh, and the money they gave me? Way more than I thought I’d get. Happy customer here. ---

This place is my go-to for scrap, and I’ve been coming back for years. It’s small, so it’s never crowded, and it’s just down the road from me. The staff? Always friendly, never in a rush. I stop by every few months, and I’ve never once had a problem. Simple as that. ---

Dropped off an old pressure washer and AC unit on August 18th, 2025. They gave me five bucks for it. Five. Dollars. That’s it. Absolute joke. Won’t be back, and I’d tell anyone else to steer clear too. ---

Anton and his team made this whole thing easy. I had a bunch of old filing cabinets, shelves, and tables taking up space, and I called to see if they’d haul them away. They showed up in a couple of days—right on time—and the guys who came were polite, didn’t mess around. Oh, and the price? Fair. No surprises, no upselling. If you need scrap pickup, these are the people to call. ---

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to say something about this place. From the second I walked in, everyone was polite—no attitude, no rush. Anton especially was a good guy to talk to, easygoing and helpful. The whole thing was just… nice. No stress, no nonsense. I’ll be back next time I’ve got scrap to get rid of. Good people running a solid business.
