Do not bother with this place. It’s always packed, filthy, and a total mess—like they don’t even care. Prices are all over the place, and the staff acts like they’re doing you a favor just being there. Saw some poor girl at the scale get yelled at for no reason. The workers don’t know what they’re doing, the road closure forces you to drive out of your way, and the rules? Who even knows. Hours aren’t posted, prices seem made up on the spot. I’m done—never going back. ---

This place is a scam. They lowball you and find every excuse to pay less. Brought in a brand-new aluminum radiator with just a tiny leak, and they called it "irony aluminum" to screw me over. The real price for that stuff is $0.25 a pound, but they only gave me $0.11. Mayer’s used to be decent—now it’s just trash. Go somewhere else.

Been coming here since the late '80s with my dad, and it’s still the best spot around. Prices are fair, the woman at the scale is always polite, and the guys in the warehouse? They’ll help you haul the heavy stuff without complaining. Never had a single problem here. Why go anywhere else? ---

Went to the Pottstown location, and the service was terrible. The girl at the pay scale was fine, but the guys unloading small scrap across the street? Rude as hell. If you hate your job, don’t take it out on customers. Took my business elsewhere after that. ---
