Flamingo Auto Salvage focuses on providing high-quality used auto parts through a full-service model. Unlike self-service junkyards where customers pull parts themselves, Flamingo’s staff handles part extraction and customer transactions.
The business primarily sells salvaged automotive parts at competitive prices. While they likely purchase vehicles for dismantling (as part of their salvage operations), there’s no clear indication they sell whole vehicles. Their business model centers on recycling and reselling usable parts from end-of-life vehicles.
Customers can visit during business hours for in-person assistance, with staff available to help locate specific parts. For payment, they accept major credit cards, though specific shipping policies aren’t mentioned in available information.
Vehicle Types and Inventory
Flamingo Auto Salvage maintains a diverse inventory of vehicles for parts salvage, though specific makes and models aren’t listed in public records. The yard describes itself as having “extensive inventory of used auto parts for all makes and models,” including engines, transmissions, body parts, and suspension parts.
Their inventory likely includes domestic and imported vehicles of various years, with parts available for common repairs and replacements. The business focuses primarily on parts recovery rather than whole vehicle sales, with emphasis on quality salvage operations.
For customers seeking parts from specific vehicle makes or newer models, direct contact with the business is recommended, as online listings primarily emphasize general parts availability rather than detailed inventory specifics.
Flamingo Auto employs several tools to help customers identify compatible parts across different vehicle makes and models:
Online Search Features
Their system includes specialized search functions that greatly simplify the parts-finding process:
Multi-Part Search: This feature allows users to search for specific parts and see compatibility across different vehicles, making it easier to find alternatives when exact matches aren’t available.
Inventory Search: Customers can browse available parts categorized by vehicle make, model, and year to quickly locate what they need.
Image-Based Search: For those unsure about exact part names, the image upload feature helps identify similar parts visually.
In-Person Assistance
The staff at Flamingo Auto offers hands-on help for customers who visit the physical location:
Direct Support: Located at 1150 W Mowry Dr, their knowledgeable staff can assist with complex parts compatibility questions during business hours.
Phone Assistance: Customers can call 305–245–6183 for immediate help verifying if a particular part will work for their vehicle.
This combination of digital tools and personal support creates an effective system for addressing parts compatibility challenges, helping customers find the right parts even when dealing with different models or years.

When visiting Flamingo Auto Salvage, it’s important to bring the right tools for removing parts. Based on standard salvage yard practices, customers typically need to bring:
Basic Tool Kit
Socket set (metric and SAE): Essential for removing most bolts on engines, transmissions, and suspension parts
Wrenches (adjustable and fixed): Useful for loosening fluid connections and various brackets
Screwdrivers (flathead/Phillips): Needed for interior parts and trim
Pliers and bolt cutters: Helpful for cutting wiring harnesses or stubborn brackets
Floor jack and jack stands: Critical for safely lifting vehicles when removing heavy parts
Specialized Tools
Torque wrench: Important for torque-sensitive parts like wheel bearings
Hydraulic tools: Impact wrenches can save time with stubborn bolts
Air compressor (if possible): Powers pneumatic tools for faster disassembly
Most salvage yards, including Flamingo Auto, do not supply tools. Some may offer limited access to equipment like jack stands, but it’s best to come prepared. For complex parts or systems like airbags or ABS, consider consulting with a professional mechanic first.
Flamingo Auto Salvage actively buys junk cars from the public. They advertise their willingness to “PAY YOU for your junk car” and provide an easy process for selling or junking vehicles.
While specific payout amounts aren’t detailed in available sources, they do offer cash for unwanted vehicles. The emphasis on “junk any car” suggests they accept vehicles regardless of condition, though standard title verification likely applies.
For those looking to sell a junk car, their process appears straightforward. Customers can contact them during business hours for a quote:
– Phone: 305–245–6183
– Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Note that there are address discrepancies in listings (1150 vs. 1200 W Mowry Dr), though the same phone number appears with both addresses, suggesting they may be related operations or possibly a single business with multiple listings.
Flamingo Auto Salvage does not publicly disclose specific warranty terms for used parts in available sources. Their website mentions that parts “covered under the manufacturer’s basic factory warranty” are excluded from their warranty, but this appears to refer to original manufacturer warranties rather than their own used parts guarantees.
For specific information about warranty duration, coverage limits, or extended options:
1. Contact Directly: Call 305–245–6183 or visit during business hours
2. Verify Address: The correct address is 1150 West Mowery Dr, Homestead, FL 33030
3. Ask About Terms: Inquire about warranty length, parts covered, and any fees
While Flamingo Auto Salvage is listed with the Better Business Bureau, they are not BBB-accredited. As with most salvage yard purchases, warranties on used parts typically have more limited terms than new parts, so clarifying coverage before purchase is recommended.
Entry Fee
Flamingo Auto Salvage at 1150 W Mowry Dr, Homestead, FL 33030 does not charge an entrance fee for customers to access their auto salvage yard. This is typical for auto salvage businesses, which operate as commercial establishments rather than fee-based attractions.
The business focuses on part sales rather than charging for entry. Customers can freely visit during business hours to inquire about parts without paying admission:

2. How is the customer service experience at Flamingo Auto Salvage?
Customer experiences vary widely. Long-term clients praise the team’s helpfulness and knowledge, while some reviews mention occasional challenges with staff responsiveness. For the best experience, come prepared with specific part information when visiting.
3. What payment methods and transaction processes do they use?
The salvage yard accepts cash and major credit cards. For some purchases, they may require deposits, especially for parts that need to be specially ordered or located. Always ask for a receipt and clarify payment terms before finalizing any transaction.
4. What is their return/refund policy for defective parts?
Like many salvage yards, Flamingo Auto typically offers part exchanges rather than cash refunds for defective items. This policy underscores the importance of inspecting parts thoroughly before purchase or installation. Ask about their specific warranty and return policies when buying.
5. How reliable are the used parts they sell?

Hello, just to let you know that it is the most unpleasant place that can come to me. I had the worst experience as a client, they charge me a part that I needed for my car after they already take the money from your card, they tell you you have to wait 3 or 4 hours to give you the part you already paid at the end I could not solve anything because at 4 hours I call for my part and they tell me that it is not ready yet I ask for my money back and they tell me that I must wait 5 business days for the money go back to my bank
