The yard has been in business since 1992, offering used parts for DIY mechanics and professionals. Customers can browse the inventory, remove their own parts, and pay by weight for scrap metal.

Services & What to Expect

Fast Foreign Auto Salvage is a self-service junkyard for foreign and domestic vehicle parts. There’s no online parts lookup or ordering—you’ll need to visit in person to search the inventory. Staff can help identify parts but don’t assist with removal. The rule is simple: you find it, you pull it, you pay for it.

Self-Service Salvage Process

To pull parts at Fast Foreign Auto Salvage, follow these steps:

  1. Visit during business hours (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). The yard is closed on weekends and holidays.
  2. Search for the part you need in the inventory. The yard focuses on foreign vehicles but also carries domestic parts.
  3. Remove the part yourself using your own tools. The yard doesn’t provide tools or disassembly help.
  4. Pay for the part by weight (scrap metal pricing) or by the item, depending on what you’re taking. Some parts have fixed prices.
  5. Take the part with you immediately—the yard doesn’t hold pulled parts for later pickup.

Bring your own tools, gloves, and safety gear. The yard doesn’t sell equipment or provide disassembly services.

Scrap Metal Recycling

Fast Foreign Auto Salvage buys scrap metal for recycling. Customers can bring in old vehicles, metal debris, or other scrap to sell by weight. Prices depend on current metal market rates and can change. The yard doesn’t buy whole cars for parts—only scrap metal is purchased separately from the salvage operation.

What to Bring

  • Vehicle identification (if you’re pulling parts for a specific make or model)
  • Tools for disassembly (wrenches, sockets, pry bars, etc.)
  • Gloves and safety gear (the yard isn’t responsible for injuries)
  • Transportation for pulled parts (some may be large or heavy)
  • Cash or a payment method (the yard may not take all cards—call ahead to confirm)

Parts Inventory

The yard carries a mix of foreign and domestic auto parts, including:

  • Engines and transmissions (foreign and domestic)
  • Body panels (doors, fenders, hoods, trunks)
  • Suspension and drivetrain parts (control arms, axles, differentials)
  • Electrical components (wiring harnesses, sensors, alternators)
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Miscellaneous hardware (bolts, brackets, fasteners)

Inventory changes daily, so call ahead at (626) 357-3361 to check for specific parts before visiting.

This place has been around for 50 years in California, and it’s easy to see why. They’re honest, treat you right, and the service is top-notch. My VW bug is a big part of my life, and Fast Auto helped me rebuild the convertible. It’s been running smooth ever since. Couldn’t ask for better people to work with. Congrats on all the success—here’s to many more years! ---

Been coming to Fast Auto since the early '90s—had a few Nissans over the years, mostly 280Zs and 240Zs, and they’ve always taken care of me. Now I’m working on a Mercedes, and I’m hoping they can help with parts. Can’t wait to talk to Morgan or Zack again. Honestly shocked to hear about any rudeness—those guys have always been upfront and friendly. I send all my friends there, and they’ve got a huge selection. Just praying they can handle Mercedes parts now since I’m restoring one. The guys who worked there 20 years ago are still around—can’t believe it! Hope they’re doing well. ---

We had a car break down out of state with transmission problems, and Morgan at Fast Auto saved the day. This thing’s a rare model, so parts are hard to find, but they came through. From the first call to tracking the transmission removal and shipping, everything was smooth. Communication was great—couldn’t have asked for better. This is my second time using them, and I’ll keep coming back for my VW needs. ---

Tried a few other yards for Toyota parts, and let’s just say the vibe was off. Walked into Fast Auto, and these guys were actually nice—asked how my day was going, what I was up to. That’s not even the best part. They had every part I needed, let me pull them myself (which I love doing), and gave me a killer deal. Will absolutely be back next time I need something. ---

Morgan and Zack at Fast Auto know their stuff—they’re real car guys. Always have a solid stock of water-cooled VW parts, and they’re usually clean and in good shape. If you’re looking for parts for a water-cooled VW in LA, these guys are the best I’ve found.
